About Me

My Background

I am a professional female tutor who has instructed children and adults throughout Southern California for 20 years. I am an excellent writer/editor and am certified in adult/pediatric CPR and first aid. I have worked as a teacher, home school instructor, instructional aide, editor, soccer coach, and tutor for both genders and all ages/grades. I have babysat, mentored, and inspired children and adolescents and provided daily care and companionship for elderly clients.

My Expertise

I tutor students from preschool through twelfth grades in public, private, parochial, charter, special education, virtual/remote, and home-school settings. Additionally, I work with adults attending junior colleges, four-year institutions, professional schools, and graduate school. I am capable of tutoring in: English (including composition and literary analysis and ESL studies), language arts, all branches of history (all eras, topics, and regions), many fields within the humanities (sociology, anthropology, race/ethnic studies, popular culture studies, film, women's studies, liberal arts, etc.), mathematics (through Geometry/Algebra II), science, and many other subjects. I am very familiar with California Common Core state standards.
